User Guide: How to Use Tenorshare Android Data Recovery Pro

Part 1: Connect Android Device
Launch Tenorshare Android Data Recovery Pro, you will get the interface like below. You can either connect your devices via USB cables or Wi-Fi. Following the instructions on the primary window.
Option 1: Connect Android Device via USB Cable
You also can simply connect your Android phone to PC with a USB cable.
Step 1. Connect Your Android Device to PC.
Select "USB Connection" and connect your Android device to your computer via a USB cable. You'd better use the OEM orginal USB cable and make sure it is well connected.
Step 2: Enable USB Storage
If the software still stay at the above interface, click "Find your device". Click "Connect" in the next pop-up.
Then a window will pop up on your device and you need to tap "OK". And tap "Have tapped OK button in your device" on the software interface.
Step 3: Enable USB Debugging
A window appears to ask you to enable USB debugging. Don't know how to do it? Click "How to enable USB debugging", and a window with guide will pop up.
Follow the guide on the software screen to enable USB debugging. If your device is enabled already, just skip to Step
For Android 4.2 or newer: Enter "Settings" < Click "About Device" < Tap "Build number" for 7 times until getting a note "You are under developer mode" < Go back to "Settings" < Click "Developer options" < Check "USB debugging".
For Android 3.0 to 4.1: Enter "Settings" < Click "Developer options" < Check "USB debugging".
For Android 2.3 or earlier: Enter "Settings" < Click "Applications" < Click "Development" < Check "USB debugging".
If you haven't installed USB driver for your Android device, this software will automatically intall it for you. Follow it to install Android USB driver. If this wizard doesn't pop up, follow this article to download and install Android USB driver manually.
Option 2: Connect Android Device via Wi-Fi
Android Data Recovery Pro conveniently allows you to connect your device via Wi-Fi network. Follow easy steps below to continue. Make sure your computer and your phone are on the same network so they can talk to each other.
Step 1: Open Android Data Recovery App on Your Device
Download Tenorshare Android Data Recovery app from Google Play and run it on your Android phone. If you can't download from Google Play, you can download the APK manually and install it all by yourself. Take the article How to Install APK on Android for reference.
Step 2: Click "Scan QR Code to Connect" Button
Tap "Scan QR Code to Connect" in Android Data Recovery app on your Android phone.
Step 3: Scan the QR Code to Get Connected
Hold your phone to scan the QR Code in the interface of Tenorshare Android Data Recovery Pro. Once scanned successfully, the phone will connect to PC immediately.
Part 2: Start Scanning
After your device is detected, click "Allow" when an app Superuser Request pops up on your device's screen to allow the program super user authorization. Then click "Start" on the software screen to scan your Android device.
- Before starting, make sure the battery of your Android device is more than 20%.
- Do not disconnect your device during the scan, or the scan will fail.
- Your computer and Android device should share the same internet connection.
Choose the files types you'd like to scan and click "Next".
Select a location and click "Scan" to start scan.
Part 3: Preview and Recover Files on Android Device
2 recovery modes are provided: Quick Recovery and Deep Recovery. The default recovery mode is Quick Recovery, which takes only seconds to take a quick scan of your device. Deep Recovery takes you relatively longer time, but scans all 8 types of files, including photos, messages, contacts, videos, call history, WhatsApp, audios, and other files in your Android phone.
After quick scanning finished, you can found the files including existing and lost ones are listed by category. You are allowed to preview them to check if they are your need before data recovery. If you want to find more files, try Deep Scan mode by clicking “Deep Scan” on the lower left corner of the Quick Recovery window.
Tips: Under each category, the lost files are shown in red, which makes you find the lost files more easily. What's more, you can filter lost files by ticking "Only display the deleted items".
Select the files you need to recover. Click "Recover" to recover and save the lost files on your PC. For photos, music, videos and documents, they are saved in their original formats; For contacts, text messages and call history, they are saved in .txt, .xml, .xls.
Note: By default, Android Data Recovery Pro will automatically access to the highest authority of your phone. If it fails, please root your Android device firstly.
